John Temperilli, Executive Director for Disaster Response 

John Temperilli is a distinguished Senior Crisis Management Professional with extensive experience leading and advising international and domestic crisis response operations. With a proven track record in managing large-scale emergencies, he has successfully navigated complex Stafford Act incidents alongside state and federal agencies, as well as National Contingency Plan (NCP) emergencies in collaboration with the EPA, USCG, and other state-level organizations. 

Throughout his career, John has played pivotal roles in addressing watershed disaster events, including over 30 major hurricanes, the Venezuelan Mudslides of 2000, the 9/11 World Trade Center Response, the Haitian Earthquake of 2010, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, the Oregon Oil Train Derailment of 2016, the COVID-19 pandemic, New York City’s Migrant/Asylum Seeker Crisis of 2022, and Israeli/Haitian flight evacuations in 2024. 

John’s leadership and expertise have made him an integral part of numerous successful disaster response efforts, establishing him as a trusted authority in disaster response, crisis management, and humanitarian assistance.
